And a post for our big, little girl!  Here are some things Rylee likes to do lately...

 Mow with daddy... this was always Brayden's thing, but Rylee Joy makes sure to get her turn now too!

 Paint, color, play doh... anything messy!  

Tube, swim, boat rides and being just plain cute! 

 Dress up!

 She tries to put anything on, including Brayden's jammies.

Rylee made me help her put all of this on... two dresses, a shirt and a skirt that you can't see.  She likes to go to her dresser to pick out shirt after dress after pants after skirt to put on.  And yes, she is crying here because she wants to see the camera!

Brayden Paul

Brayden is off to preschool.  He loves it!  Today was the first official day without momma or daddy.  He didn't really give it a second thought that I was leaving, which made it easier for both of us.  This afternoon I heard him singing "knees and toes" over and over.  I am excited to see what he will learn this year!

RJ got this new bike helmet and didn't want to take it off! I guess with her brother around, she may be on to something!

Rylee's First Haircut

I have been debating about whether to cut Rylee's hair lately. Just to let the layers catch up! Today I randomly decided to do it after her morning nap. I ended up cutting about an inch off! It was getting pretty long!

I cut it in our bedroom while she was watching tv with Brayden. Next time (if there is a next time) I won't use the high chair because the back was a little too tall!

And she had a sucker to distract her!

After shots! Wasn't too hard to do since I just had to cut straight across, but when she needs a style, she will be going to someone who knows what they are doing!

Plus with the curls, you can't tell if I messed up! (I don't think I did!) The cut is better, but not a huge difference! I am glad she still has curls!

Hottest Day of the Year

What did your family do today? We played outside all afternoon! (Except for nap time.) While daddy was grilling dinner, the kids played in the sandbox. They (especially Rylee who likes to bathe in it, literally rubbing her hair like shampoo) got it all over themselves. The best way to get it off? Water!

Birthday Party, Again!

We celebrated Rylee and Ella's birthdays together at Matt and Amber's. For those of you who don't know, Ella and Rylee are born on the same day!

Happy Birthday, Rylee!

It is hard to believe a year has gone by since our tiny little baby girl was born. Yet she is acting so much like a... toddler! She is saying momma, daddy, Brayden, all done, jump, uh-oh, and even "woofed" the other day! I would say Rylee is officially a walking girl and definitely a climber! She wants to do everything Brayden does and more!
